WMRI - Iolite Abyss

Record: 2018 • Edition: 2018 • USC-WR-1802.0404
Space Ambient

The deep-sea world contains many mysteries. It is almost unexplored, as only a few obsessed researchers went to dark depths. The bizarre relief pattern extends for many miles, rising and falling smoothly, disappearing in the cliffs and reappearing from the void. The entanglement of water streams piercing the boundless reservoirs with its net and rushing in unknown directions. The world of depth is full of amazing creatures of nature, many of which exist there for thousands or even millions of years practically unchanged. This environment is extreme for most living beings, which also protects these creatures from unnecessary attention. Huge pressure has prompted these organisms to adapt, making their appearance completely unearthly. The sun's rays are scattered and decayed at such depth, the outlines and details of the underwater ridges are dying out, and behind the cloudy shroud there opens an abyss in the colors of the iolite.

Derek Nigell - Distant Ocean

Record: 2017 • Edition: 2017 • USC-WR-1712.0393
Space Ambient, Berlin School, New Age

Boundless ocean has opened his embrace... He shall thrill me with his tremendous majesty! He bathed tenderly the planet’s coasts with waves, and has compounded the mysteries and riddles, having hidden depths from us. He has paved the depth contour of weird tablelands and basins with nautic creatures. And sounds of magical waves, seagulls’ cry and dolphins’ voice, the low bass of whales – everything is dear to my heart! He has opened the miraculous distant world before our eyes, and enchanted us with its variety. Oh Ocean, you are endless in your magnificence! We tried so long to comprehend you: your vasts are indomitable, secrets are almost unknown, thoughts are beyond all reason! And a sailor begs for a grace taking road, while mothers and wives await for their relatives. Oh Ocean, you are the life of Earth, its salt, the embodiment of world’s harmony, I sing a hymn in your honor!

WMRI - Saturated Summer

Record: 2014 • Edition: 2014 • USC-WR-1409.0215
Ambient, Symphonic, Cinematic

Flower scents fill the hot air mixed into a lavish bouquet. Sun hangs in a clear blue sky slowly cooking the planet. Shivering haze rises over the incandescent ground: paints on horizon smear and flow in entangled patterns. In this realm of heat and moisture greens grow rapidly: grasses, flowers, ferns, bushes and trees, as if competing with each other for a place under the sun, spread on vast areas with meadows, fields and forests. Incessant even for a moment chirr symphony of various insect species is heard on all sides, floats on the waves of waving ears driven by the wind. Dynamic life forms a unique picture full of the most saturated colors.

WMRI - Baryte Wasteland

Record: 2013 • Edition: 2013 • USC-WR-1309.0170
Space

There are some corners on Earth, which enchant not with multiplicity of life, but with trembling scales of lifelessness and devastation. Giant wilderness of crackled dried soil. Vast distances, that keep no trail of life. Incredible force made all living to leave this area, and plants died away without ability to avoid their destiny. Tremendous winds and continuous rains left only wasted clay surface coloured with baryte.

Traditional Electronic, Ambient, Space, Synthpop

This box collects all of the earlier full-length releases of WMRI, some of which are published for first time on the web. Moreover, all included materials are original masters as they were first meant to be, even the original track titles were saved. These versions aren't considered authentic, but either historic or relic. The reference versions are four of these albums that were remastered and expanded in 2008 and released under the title First Wave. All these materials are going to be remastered soon or late, but for now this fills the holes in your WMRI collection.
