  1. I'm guessing the last track is the later studio one... the energy shifts quite dramatically in 'Excavation Site in Sector E-4.' Yet, as with the previous three, which were created in an on-air improvisation jam session for an hour long streaming radio show, it builds its soundscape with fast sliding repetition inside long tonal waves until you are caught in the swell, part of the story, enthralled with the expedition, unable to leave until the song has ended. Mike Winchester's music is hypnotic (in track notes he is listed as composer). There is speed, excellence, command: we know where we've come from and where we're going, it's the journey that's exciting. It grips us. And what a journey! The astronaut metaphor of visiting and populating the moon in a futuristic excavation creating a 'Moon Train Station' works beautifully with this Berlin School inspired music. Within sameness, and progression, come profound insights, enlightenments. I felt comforted listening. In the peace of dynamic opposites. 'Images of Light and Dark.' Unions. In the final piece, though seeming a departure from the earlier three, the music entirely stops perhaps half way through. Silence. What are we to do with this? Has the album ended? Is there an anomaly in the moonscape? But no, the silence is music. It all comes to rest. Sound gathers in its silence. That silence, like through a glass darkly, reveals what I consider a brilliant album that I will listen to again and again as I discover more deeply who I am by listening. Thank you WMRI. 2. Definite Klaus Schulze influence in track 2. Terrific stuff. [dJay1958 • 01.01.2010 02:51]

10 listeners ain't bad for a gig on the moon, are they? This is a nice ambient album, good for chilling out and dreaming and... [airheart05 • 02.01.2010 16:26]

Thanks to brendaclews for the recommendation of this album - a delightful, ambient, relaxing trip on the soothing low gravity moon - wandered around - in and out of shadow - the ancient dusts and frosts of moon rime billowing up in motion like a long drawn out sigh - a dreamscape - the heavy weight of earth remote - left down on that glowing cerulean orb. [orangeupurple • 31.01.2010 03:02]

[spisfire • 31.01.2010 12:22]

Thanks to spisfire for recommending! Awesome, sounds like Klaus Schulze, but the patterns feel much more comfortably to me! ==> DOWNLOAD! Thanks a lot for sharing and keep up the good work! [frank.harper • 31.01.2010 12:48]

    Bon album. Planant! [varkounette • 31.01.2010 12:55]

Merveilleusement Planant. [zephiria67 • 31.01.2010 13:05]

[AIIR • 04.02.2010 10:49]

Planant altitude.

Remarkably refreshing! The overall style hints to the times of yore, when EM was what it was, electronic MUSIC. And over that, they put in their own identity. This is a MUST HAVE for the fans of good old, berlinschool electronic music. Thank you for letting use have this again once more, WMRI! [jegelie • 19.12.2010 20:56]

[All MIDIola • 09.12.2009 02:06]

[e.fast • 24.01.2010 02:55]

  5. Great deeply melodic electronic soundscapes from the album 'Moon Events'. [78razors • 09.01.2012]

Unexpected find from Russia. Thanks for uploading. This is a classic of the future, no doubt, retaining all clues and airs from the Berlin School we've cherished ever since. [tubellarbells • 09.2012]

  6. Can you please tell me who the musical artist is you have playing on this video? It's great! It reminds me of Ray Lynch. [BoilerBloodline • 07.2012]

Artist - WMRI, track: Images of Light and Dark album - Moon Events. It is listed at end of clip as credit. Available on Jamendo.com. Sorry if it was too quick as editing sometimes takes place and cuts part of frame. Selection of a couple of track segments are mixed here, I believe, throughout the video. Hope that helps, Jim. 8.
