Melong - Beyond

Record: 2010-2011 • Edition: 2012 • USC-WR-1209.0085
Psy-Ambient, Experimental

Things can be really different if you take a look through a prism of imagination. Modern image gives a unique futuristic view on the relics of the past ages. Like an idea of cyber monk that beats the spectral gong of the universe. Pushed to the future, ancient artifacts may get more spiritual and powerful. And this is the moment when you see a thunderous temple drawing its tentacles in all directions: over the horizon, above the sky and underneath the ground. The odd hoary structure possible in the world that is beyond the notion.

WMRI - Desert Dreams

Record: 2007 • Edition: 2012 • USC-WR-1202.0024
Traditional Electronic, Berlin School

Desert life is not as monotonous as it may seem to be at first sight. If you look narrowly at it you can notice a lot of details. The first impression is vast yellow ocean of sand. The wind twists whirls above it and, as a great architect, constantly builds dunes and barkhans. And he does not like when strangers enter his landscapes, and summons sandstorm, hiding their tracks and sweeping away everything from his domains. Salvation can only be in oasis - a small island of life. However, sometimes the desert seems to stand, and only a thin strip of horizon divides the yellow ocean and the azure sky. And when night falls, darkness veils the desert, and only bright light of the stars in the cloudless sky is pulling away from oblivion.

Holzweg - The Birds

Record: 2007 • Edition: 2012 • USC-WR-1202-0022
Ambient, Modern Classical, New Age

This album of Holzweg combines melodic electronic music with chillout and new age moods. Dreamy and light compositions draw images of a morning city covered with shining haze in sunrise. Slow parts of music evoke a sense of thoughtful tranquility, and more dynamic tunes transform it into waiting of a new day, full of experiences, but not fussy. Run of time seems to slow down to allow us to feel and to see all beauty and majesty of this world.

Saty - Simulacra

Record: 2010 • Edition: 2012 • USC-WR-1202.0020
Ambient, World

Music of this Saty's work transmits a little piece of Eastern wisdom. Skillful and sophisticated use of traditional Eastern instruments combines with ethereal electronic pads - it is a real mastery, worthy the most careful attention. The composer has made a great musical exploration and found those important particles which are completely able to transmit spirit and beauty of Eastern traditions. The album is divided on two logical parts. The first is more common and represents traditional ambient with slow sound evolution. The second part paints visions of the city Mumbai in India and is more instrumental, sometimes adjoining with traditional ragas.
