Meteora - The Northern Path

Traditional Electronic

For all times the Far North in the eyes of common men appeared as an inhospitable wilderness with an extreme climate. Due to severe weather even nowadays many people consider polar regions as the edge of the world. Only the bravest and desperate explorers – pilots and sailors, voyagers and scientists – dare to challenge merciless nature and pave the northern path risking their lives. Polar nights that last for half a year, insidious embrace of whiteout, fantastic Aurora Borealis and orange glare of sunrise above the horizon... And only a few research stations remain frail islands of life among silent icy kingdom as outposts of human curiosity and devotion. Wonderful people serve in places like this: solitude doesn't frighten them, as they feel encouragement of their friends and families behind their back and with spiritual power they expand the conquered area.

«I love this place. Here, there is a unique atmosphere at any season. On that chilly summer evening when I came here with my friend Alexey, the air was especially thick and filled with bittersweet wettish freshness. Here, you fall into a special state, sitting on the recently scythed grass and looking down from the hill at power lines stretching away. It is here where several little worlds come together: a forest to the left and the right, a tiny village living its hasteless life under the hill, and the slight noise of a bustling city coming from far behind. And above, the steel giants of power line towers soaring against the darkening summer sky, which soon will be cut across by the Perseids. It is here where you take a rest from the hustle, and music itself fills your mind to later find its material form.»

Mountain hiking... This allegorically affects all our achievements. We dream of new peaks, and we wish for them. We feel the wind in our wings and, collecting our strength, carry the mountain slopes by assault. And there, soaring above the mortal world, we behold majestic snowy peaks, towering the crystal heights and glittering only for us. Higher, where new opportunities arise, filling our souls with thrill, where discoveries await us, calling to new victories. What for would you go through the cold fibers of fog there, into the unknown? Mountains and achievements are the reasons worth to give our best!

Sputnik-1 is a symbol of the embodiment of a dream into reality. When all the forces are thrown at its achievement, despite the pressure of circumstances, despite the internal turmoil in the people and the country. In 60 years after this event, we can only feel the echoes of the former glory and aspirations, but even this fills us with pride for our people, the Soviet Union and the Russian Federation, no matter what side events have marred this milestone in history. This is the main focus of our collection.
